Procedures and Compliance
Intertrust – Corporate Solutions (Nevis) Limited is legally obligated to comply with regulations aimed at preventing terrorism, drug trafficking, and money laundering. As part of this statutory responsibility, Intertrust – Corporate Solutions (Nevis) Limited is committed to conducting thorough due diligence on the identities of all clients and understanding the nature of their businesses.
While maintaining client confidentiality is a priority, we are legally required to collect comprehensive information on all beneficial owners, directors, shareholders, bank account signatories, and any individuals connected to any company, trust, foundation, or other entity we form or manage. This includes:
- Proof of Identity
- Proof of Residential Address
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Source of Wealth Declaration
1. Proof of Identity
To verify the identity and signature of all relevant individuals, clients must provide a certified copy of one of the following:
- A valid passport
- A valid national identity card
The document must include a clear photograph, the bearer’s signature, and the document number. The copy must be certified either by a Intertrust – Corporate Solutions (Nevis) Limited manager or by a notary public, attorney, banker, or another professional qualified to certify identity documents.
The certifying individual must be a member of a professional body that maintains a public directory of its members. The certification must include the following statement:
“Having seen the individual and the identification documentation at the same time, I certify this is a true copy of the original and that the photograph is a reasonable likeness.” This statement must be signed and include the certifier’s name, professional title, organisation, and contact details.
2. Proof of Residential Address
To confirm residential addresses, one of the following documents must be submitted for each relevant party. The document must be dated within the last three (3) months:
- An original utility bill (e.g., landline telephone, electricity; mobile phone bills are not accepted)
- An original bank or mortgage statement from a recognized financial institution
- An original credit card statement
- A bank reference letter confirming the residential address

3. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
To better understand the background of our clients—and to facilitate the opening of bank accounts – InterTrust – Corporate Solutions (Nevis) Limited requires a current CV outlining the individual’s educational qualifications, professional experience, and employment history. In certain jurisdictions, this may be a mandatory compliance requirement.
4. Source of Wealth
A written statement must be provided by the client (or principal) outlining the origin of their wealth, including a brief description of how and over what period the wealth was acquired.
5. Document Delivery
Documents may initially be submitted via email or fax for preliminary review; however, original certified copies must be delivered by courier or postal mail. We cannot proceed with service provision until the originals have been received.
All documents must be in English. If documents are in another language, they must be accompanied by a certified English translation from an independent, accredited translator.
